Routes handled through the company

Some permits are processed with the Large Companies and Strategic Groups Unit (UGE-CE) and require the company and the professional to be coordinated from the outset.

Highly Qualified Professional (PAC)

A residence and work permit for foreign professionals with a job offer in Spain for a position that requires a high level of professional qualification.

This route allows certain professionals to work in Spain through a permit processed with the Large Companies and Strategic Groups Unit (UGE-CE), provided that the professional profile, the position and the company all meet the legal requirements.

Ideal forProfessionals with higher education or, in certain cases, equivalent professional experience, who have received a qualified job offer from a company in Spain.

We jointly review the candidate’s qualifications or professional experience, the characteristics and duties of the position, the salary offered, the contract and the company’s situation to determine whether this is the right immigration route.

Our advice can include preparing and filing the application, coordinating the documentation with the hiring company, following up the case and assisting with the steps after approval.

Intra-company transfer (ICT)

A residence and work permit for professionals transferred to Spain within the same company or corporate group to work here temporarily.

This route makes it possible to manage the global mobility of certain employees who have a prior working relationship with a company outside Spain and are posted to an entity of the same group in Spain.

Ideal forProfessionals, managers, specialists and other profiles transferred from a foreign company to an entity of the same group in Spain.

We review the structure of and relationship between the companies, the employee’s prior connection with the corporate group, their professional profile, the duties they will perform in Spain and the conditions of the transfer to determine which type of permit applies.

When there is mobility between different EU Member States, we also assess whether the EU ICT regime may apply.

The service can include coordination with the home company and the Spanish entity, preparation of corporate and personal documentation, filing the application with the UGE-CE, following up the case and assistance with the steps after approval.

Residence for researchers

A residence permit for foreign professionals coming to Spain to carry out research, development and innovation activities within a research organization, university, company or other authorized organization.

Ideal forResearchers, scientists, research staff and other professionals who want to carry out a research, development or innovation project or activity in Spain.

We review the researcher’s academic and professional profile, the host organization, the project they will carry out in Spain and the legal relationship between the two to determine which type of permit applies.

When the project involves mobility between different EU Member States, we also review the options available for researcher mobility within the European framework.

The service can include the initial eligibility review, coordinating documentation with the host organization, preparing and filing the application, following up the case and assistance with the steps after approval. Where applicable, we also review and handle the permits for family members who will accompany the researcher to Spain.
