Law 14/2013 on support for entrepreneurs
Residence for entrepreneurs
A permit to carry out an innovative entrepreneurial activity of special economic interest for Spain.
Is this the right option for you?
It is designed for people who want to launch an innovative business project in Spain. There are no minimum investment or job creation requirements: what is assessed is the project, the entrepreneur’s profile and its contribution to the Spanish economy.
The application is filed at the consulate if you live outside Spain, or with the Large Companies and Strategic Groups Unit (UGE-CE) if you are already legally in Spain.
If your activity is not innovative, the usual route is residence and self-employment.
